Today is International Picnic Day but unfortunately Irish weather is preventing outdoor picnics today but I went to the lovely Avoca, Rathcoole for afternoon tea instead….
Hopefully later in the summer weather will allow for real picnics and I’ll be getting inspiration from these lovely picnic pictures…..I love the idea of dining outside in the garden making pretty tables with lovely themes….
So the next sunny day or at least dry day we have surprise someone with a picnic….
So last Friday I finished up my job to pursue better things, I still want to work in radio but hope to move to Dublin and get a job there so I was brave, or stupid still deciding, and said I would just go for it quit my job and dedicate time to hunting for a perfect one, it exists…I also said I would do a blog entry at least every second day but so far have not done one…I have instead been trying to catch up on sleep, spring clean and get a regular diet going, I eat way to much bold but tasty food….Trying to stick to a healthy diet is actually really hard, I am replacing my usual snacks of pastries and chocolate with apples, nuts and raw carrots, I’ll let you know how it goes….

I am coveting model/actress/fashion designer Chloe Sevignys eclectic individual style….she has a unique was of stlying herself for any and every occasion…she always gets it right be it dressed down or styled for a shoot, I want everything she wears….her best feature has to be her legs which she shows off in her style with shorts being a quay item in her wardrobe….here are a selection of some of my most loved of her outfits…..
The weather has been a little miserable this week which means I have been curled up studying magazines and the internet and falling in love with, well everything really…Everything always looks so nice in magazines….
Anyway I am loving midi skirts at the moment especially in nude and pink tones…
And I have an odd liking and want for Mickey/Minnie Mouse ears and hats at the moment after seeing them in a photo shoot…..
Photo booths….I think they are lovely to have and at a recent show there was a stand with them as people rent them for parties, great idea… we had to be dragged away….

The weather has been so nice the past few weeks so I have been out exploring some of the beautiful areas near my house. Ireland really is perfect, when we have the weather on our side! The other day  I went up to Dromore woods and lake which is just up the road, I was attempting  a run and I am not going to lie it was a bad effort!! But I did get some beautiful pictures…..
today was mother’s dayso I want to say a little thank you to my amazing mum who is wonderful and beautiful and talented… I am grateful for all she has taught me in life and continues to teach me…..you are the best….

We went for a family  meal to celebrate Mother’s Day and it was mothers choice of course…she picked French restaurant The French Table which is nicely situated on Steamboat Quay looking onto the River Shannon…
It was all of our first time eating here and it was amazing….gorgeous food, good choice and friendly staff….there was a special 3 course set menu on offer today for 28 euro…I had French onion soup to start, steak for main main course and caramelized lemon tart with coffee for dessert….there was also hake on the menu which I would have loved to have tried but it was a steak day today, last night was  a late night….I can safely say I will be going back again to sample more from the menu…..

I remember when I was younger being in the car with my mum and singing Bette Midler – From A Distance together , my mum has a lovely voice also….
Happy Friday…and what a nice Friday it was, I went for coffee and waffles with one of the girls this morning in Arabica before taking a trip to the bookstore to buy Patti Smith‘s book Kids. After this I went out to the Radissonfor a bit of pampering, I got a facial and a pedicure….I remember reading somewhere the it is important to treat yourself (with a facial or massage) at least once a month to reduce or eliminate stress so I am all for doing this…..I was totally relaxed after this and I met himself for some food in one of my favorite places to go La Cucina , tasty italy food and then we went to the cinema to see Source Code with the lovely Jake Gyllenhaal but unfortunately despite Jake being in it the film was not great but here’s the trailer….
Going to share a bit of a model moment I had last year that I often think of and get a little flushed….
First off a little background, when I as younger I loved the series My So-Called Life starring Claire Danes and the gorgeous Jared Leto …..
and so develops my first crush.....
The show was all about a teenage girl, Angela(Danes) and her problems in life including her love for Jordan Catalano(Leto)….it was brilliant and of course Jared Leto being in it added to the appeal….I am not sure if it was his perfect blues eyes, his hair or his voice I loved more!
Sadly My So-Called Life only lasted one season so Jordan Catalano was no more but Jared Leto had just arrived….
Although Jared Leto has been on the acting scene for he has been somewhat selective with the roles he plays with a lot of the movies flopping Jared himself , most of the time, gives strong performances like in Prefontaine and Requiem for a Dream.
On top of being an actor Jared Leto also sings lead vocals, plays rhythm guitar and is songwriter for  band thirty Seconds to Mars …..last summer they performed at Oxegen…..
Anyway I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Jared and thought yes I am doing really well of not getting to star struck or anything when speaking to him….or so I thought until he told me I smelt nice(I think I had a bottle of perfume on) and flashed him a smile and said ‘really oh thanks because I’ve been camping so I have not showered on 3 days‘….so a great I made a great impression!!
It’s the weekend and the weather has been so nice all week that this Friday seems even better then any other…..
I am off to a hen in Coolbawn Quay later this afternoon so looking forward to some girlie chats and nice walks. Tomorrow then I am heading to Dublin to support himself in an important game and for ladies day in the club. So all in all a nice social weekend ahead which will be toasted with sunshine I hope!

Once again this year the creative director Alber Elbaz has succeeded in wowing the crowd  with a great range of versatility from simple day dresses and work wear to cocktail dresses and show stopping evening dresses, oh and some stylish swimwear. Elbaz also uses a wide range of different materials and colour range. He said, “In the end, I realize I only want to make women feel gorgeous, comfortable, and beautiful” well I think any woman wearing any of the Spring/Summer collection 2011 would feel just that…..
My overall favorite piece is the red silk pleated skirt with one shoulder body, it was worn for the show by Karlie Kloss, I love love it…
Celebrity Lanvin lovers include Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, Emma Stone, January Jones, Rosamund Pike. Amanda Seyfried and Julianne Moore.
