Naomi Campbell, who opened the show modeled several designs by Yves Saint Laurent, Marchesa and Alexander McQueen throughout the show….Designers donated red carpet dresses for the show, while Dolce & Gabbana made the charity T-shirts worn….there was an auction after, which included artworks by Tracey Emin and Dennis Hopper and a customised Lotus Évora…the event was staged in collaboration with Vogue Italia……

While on a recent shopping trip in Dundrum I found myself drawn to a beautiful dress in the window of the Hobbs store , unfortunately I was running late so I did not have to time go in and try it on….but of course when I got home out come I went straight onto the Hobbs website and fell in love with nearly everything…..
It is a label I have not looked at much before but they have a nice range from classic cut business wear to stylish weekend wear so I will be adding it to my shops to visit when in Dundrum….It has some very easy to wear classic pieces with a great colour palette and also items that would never date…..
Here are some of my favorites pieces from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection….
So I think my wardrobe would be very happy, as would I ,if I got a few Hobbs items to hang in it starting with the Limited Edition Kempton Shooting Dress…..
This morning I was in Dublin for work and before heading back to Limerick myself and one of the girls Becky stopped into Avoca http://avoca.ie/home for Monday treats and a leisurely stroll…..
The store is so pretty with loads of lovely things from books to clothes to furniture….some of my favorite items are the lovely garden pieces….
For the birds....
I also loved the collection of unique china teacups and saucers which are new in….
But the sweetest thing about the store is all the edible goodies and the sweet house. We drooled all over the sweets here and I came to the conclusion that I want a room like this in my house…….
Next we went up stairs to the cafe and had some tasty cakes….
