I have decided penguins are lovely, underrated birds….they appear to have nice characteristics to them from their endearing waddle walks to presant facial expressions….

The best thing about penguins is…..that they mate for life, so romantic….

So cute….

Little treats…..

26 Apr

Easter weekend has been and gone……

It was a lovely weekend spent with friends and good food, yes I mean indulging in chocolate again…..

However, I woke up this morning with a chocolate hangover after two whole days of gorging on delicious chocolate from Easter eggs to Ben & Jerry’s to the most scrumptious chocolate from Italy(thanks Daddy), it really was lovely milk chocolate with nut pieces dipped in honey…..

Today felt like a Monday, complete with the groggy attitude and then came the happiness when remembering it’s Tuesday so a short week ahead before another nice long weekend…and for anyone who still has that Monday feeling well I got peed on by a dog today so that should make you laugh….

This afternoon a trip to Bunratty was made to walk off some chocolate and see the sights, of which there are loads here….I love flowers I think they are beautiful and normally dislike faux ones but while looking around Meadows & Byrne  I discovered they can be really lovely and colourful so want to think of a nice way to incorporate them into my bedroom(suggestions welcome and appreciated)…..

                    Love the tea storage box…..

I want everything on this dresser down to the lavender and also the dresser itself……

I keep an eye on The Uber Blog every few days for inspiration, motivation and to smile….

My friend emailed me these pictures earlier, I love it…At first was wondering why she was emailing me pictures of wine when I don’t drink but on closer inspection realised her good taste…..

The countdown to the Royal Wedding is on but are all the articles and interviews and tv shows and whatever else exciting or just annoying at this stage!!

Sunny Disposition………

22 Apr

The sun is staying and so are the smiles…

I have had a lovely few days in the fine weather in both Limerick and Dublin, there is just so much more to see and do when the weather is nice…Wednesday I was in Dublin for modeling work  which was on early in the morning leaving me free to catch up with friends for the rest of the day…..

First I met a friend in the beauteous and immaculate Herbert Park for a stroll around with her and her son, we fed the ducks and played ball. It was my first time in the park and it was stunning, it is a large park with loads to take in and enjoy for all ages…and it was so well kept there was not a blade of grass out of place never mind any litter, there was a team of men doing gardening, emptying bins and picking up any rubbish, who were genuinely whistling while they worked, which was lovely to see….

I then made my way over to lovely Ranelagh  wher I met Philip in TriBeCa for a lovely lunch, I had the seabass which was fantastic, they are known for their tasty chicken wings so must go back for them soon…

After a lovely lunch of food and a bit of Trivia Pursuit on my Ipad in bbetween course I went over to Rathmines to visit my friend Aine and her son, her mom was also visiting so we all sat out in the garden drinking coffee and chatting oh and a few buns were consumed…it felt like the South of France…Check out Aines blog andmybaby…we also tried to make giant bubbles with some washing up liquid, 2 sticks and a pair of shoelaces, it’s something I need to work on……

I finished my day by cheering on Philip in Donnybrook for his game with St. Marys College against UCD in the Cup final which St. Marys won, so well done to the lads….kick was very late last night with the game finishing at 10pm so by the time the cheering was finished and congratulations expressed I didn’t get on the road until around 11pm, so I was very late home and in bed….

On my way to meet one of the girls Olivia for lunch after work I got a phone call from a lady with a strong Northern accent saying she was outside my house with a delivery of flowers….I didn’t believe her as I thought it was Olivia playing a prank on me… I said I wouldn’t be fooled so I quizzed the “delivery” lady phone…I asked what kind of flowers, she said a bouquet, I then turned around and asked her where her flowers were from and where do you grow, after a couple of minutes of me saying some unusual things to her trying to catch out who I thought was Olivia, I realised that she was an actually delivery lady who was outside my house with a bouquet of flowers….she must havve thought I was off the wall….I came home after a satisfying lunch in La Cuicina to be greeted with a magnificent bunch of summery flowers and thoughtful note, I’ve been smiling since….I was spoiled….

A couple of things that make up my day…..

19 Apr

Loving the nice summer weather hopefully it will last through until September….Everything looks so ice in the sun, it puts people in good moods and the smells in the air are gorgeous….

Here are couple of things from my day…..

I went for a drive to Adare this morning and had a stroll around the lovely grounds of Adare Manor ….

There are horses on the land at the moment who come up to say hello or are probably just looking for treats…..

I am heading to Dublin later so I painted my nails and packed my new summer shoes, wedges from Pennys and shoes from Bershka. Also bringing my current favorite top from Zara……

Sitting out in the garden now for a bit having a coffee and reading my book before the drive……

I need….a Hermes scarf

18 Apr

I have a slight obsession with vintage scarves or vintage style scarves and wear them all year round, they are definitely my favorite accessory. My collection is growing but of course there is always room for more and I would love a Hermes silk scarf to add to it…..

Hermes have been producing scarves since 1937 with over 2500 designs made to date. Designs range from equestrian motifs to germane.
They are all so beautiful, even the packaging is.  All Hermès scarves are hand printed using multiple silk screens and the scarves hems are all handstitched. The scarves have another unique quality which is they are made with a scent. There are too many ‘favorite’ designs but here are a few of them……..

If you go down to the woods today…..

17 Apr

The weather has been so nice the past few weeks so I have been out exploring some of the beautiful areas near my house. Ireland really is perfect, when we have the weather on our side! The other day  I went up to Dromore woods and lake which is just up the road, I was attempting  a run and I am not going to lie it was a bad effort!! But I did get some beautiful pictures…..

I was listening to…..

Antony and The Johnsons

Paloma Faith
