Tuesday was Pancake Tuesday but because I was working and eating all around me in The Mill, Blarney Woolen Mills I completely forgot pancakes but this was rectified on Wednesday so Wednesday was Pancake Wednesday
I love mine with honey, lemon, butter and a sprinkle of sugar……
Wednesday also marked the beginning of Lent and this year for lent I am off chocolate, cappuccinos and popcorn. Forty days without chocolate will be tough but so far so good! If you want to read more about lent here is the wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent
I am already thinking about what Easter Eggs I want!
The other morning in the sun I went for a walk along Ringmoylan Pier (http://homepage.eircom.net/~asduchasdochas/homeweb2/map/info/pallaskenry.html)the of course this was before the rain set in….
While I was doing my planespotting I listened to Mumford and Sons ahead of their gig in Dolans warehouse next week( http://www.dolanspub.com/)
The gig is not suprising sold out but I am being very optimistic that I will get a ticket…fingers crossed
They were one of the highlights for me at Oxegen last year but I did manage to get side of stage so the atmosphere was amazing
It has also been said that Hermitage Green will be playing support to them. Hermitage Green are a Limerick based band made up of five very talented lads including Munster rugby men Barry Murphy and Felix Jones. The five of them can all sing and all play instruments so are a talented bunch, so great to see them get this gig.
Check them out here http://www.facebook.com/hermitagegreen
This is one of the Hermitage Green guys singing Timshel
Also I have been adding to my wish list and this is currently at the top if anyone feels like buying me a gift…..
